Intermediate-Senior
Students must prepare to teach two subjects from the following list
with at least six full-year (or equivalent) university courses in the
first teaching subject and three full-year (or equivalent) university
courses in the second teaching subject:
- Business Studies (Accounting, Entrepreneurship, General or Info and Communication Technology)
- Computer Studies
- Dance
- Dramatic Arts
- Economics
- English
- Environmental Science
- Family Studies
- French as a Second Language
- Geography
- Health and Physical Education
- History
- Law
- Mathematics
- Music - Instrumental
- First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies
- Philosophy
- Politics
- Religious Education in the Catholic Schools
- Science (Biology, Chemistry, General, Physics, General)
- Social Sciences General
- Visual Arts
NOTE: Technological Education is also available as a teaching subject. Find details with the Bachelor of Education (BEd) Technological Education.
Students may not complete any combination of the following teaching subjects:
NOTE: There is potential for course conflict or repetition in
choosing similar teaching subjects, such as ones that fall under the
Business, Computer Studies or Economics, Geography, Environmental
Science and Science categories. Although students may select some of
these subject combinations, students are advised that they may have the
same Course Director and same/similar course outline for both teaching
subject classes.
Students must prepare to teach one subject from the following list
with at least four full-year (or equivalent) university courses in the
teaching subject.
